Freshman Program
The Freshman Program at AUCE follows the American educational system, and is considered equivalent to the Lebanese Baccalaureate Part II. It is offered to all Lebanese or non-Lebanese students who qualify for admission into this program. Freshman students are required to complete a minimum of 30 credits in either the Freshman Arts program or the Freshman Sciences program. The Freshman programs are designed in compliance with the Ministry of Education Equivalence Committee’s specifications.
The Freshman Program requires a minimum of 30 credits distributed among the following. One course may not be used to meet two separate requirements.
Two English courses will be assigned based on your English test scores upon admission.

MAT 101 Calculus 1 (3)
Choose two of the following courses:
HTY 101 World History (3)
HTY 252 Middle East History (3)

The Freshman Arts Program should be completed during the first year of admission into the university.
Upon successfully completing 30 credits as listed above, students are eligible to move to sophomore status.
It is the responsibility of the students to equate their Freshman Class.
